Courtesy of the demigod Alex Ross, this video of Augustin Hadelich performing B.A. Zimmerman's Rhapsodie from his Sonata for solo vioin is worth a look.
I would love to see something like this performed live, adding beauty, visual interest and a sense of mystery to the already dramatic music.
This gets extra credit from me because it is also great marketing!
