Oh, Pandora, I love you so.
When playing around with ways to pimp out this TypePad blog, I came across the Pandora.com Internet Radio widget (look to the right). And like all good loves, it has changed my life.
Pandora is an online radio station whose mission is to "play music you'll love - and nothing else." Powered by the Music Genome Project, Pandora allows you to create your own radio stations using songs, artists and composers, and then introduces you to other music that shares the same distinct characteristics. Once you've created a playlist of faves, you can QuickMix your different stations (a la iPod Shuffle) and listen to your heart's delight.
Just this month alone, I've discovered an affinity for Ralph Vaughan Williams, Michael Tippett, Brett Dennen, Iron & Wine and Alexi Murdoch.
And now that I have an iPod Touch (pure indulgence), I can listen to Pandora Radio wherever there is an available wireless network. Life is good.
